"Is that a man in the tree?" Why yes it is. In fact it is Mr. Bertch. He put on a great show for all of us campers. If you are going camping Mr. Bertch is just the sort of man to invite. He installed a zip-line, brought a huge hammock, and a full size ping- pong ball table. Wow!!! The icing on the cake was to watch Mr. Birch climb the tree. He has some fancy stake shoe strap thinga majig that he straped right on to his shoes, and then up he climbed. Pretty amazing!! Cedric was in awe and exclaimed that he wanted to be Mr. Bertch when he grows up. Thanks for the fun Mr. Bertch!!
This beetle was huge!! Abby loves anything in the bug kingdom and this become her special buddy. She was so attached to the "little" guy that he became her teddy bear that night. The beetle did make it through the night and no one woke up to beetle on the face, so we brought it home with us and called it our second pet (you all remember the frog that we found in our house, that was the first pet). Mr. beetle did escape in the night and Abby is still wondering how it happened. She, in her loverly motherly way, put the beetle in a plastic Tupperware bowl and built him a very fancy house out of duplos. She is pretty sure that he chewed through the plastic, fell off the table and headed for the back yard, because beetles like dirt better than plastic.

Mr. Bertsch is just such a man (amazing) of course I still have idol eyes for my dad ;)
Looks like you had a blast. I agree about Mr. Bertsch being awesome. It's cool to watch him climb the trees. Can't wait to jam again soon.
