The Birthday Blessing

As a tradition Jason gives the birthday kid a special blessing. Here is Cedric's.
Lord God our Father and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank you for Cedric and this past year that we have had together. We pray that this next year would be filled with more blessings and more joy. We thank you for the ways that he has grown and matured and we thank you for the ways that he is becoming stronger and wiser and more full of life and godliness all of the time. We pray that his life would be filled with knowledge, understanding, discretion and self-control. We pray that you would make him a strong defender of the way of life and a great example of the strong and gentle hands of chivalric piety. We pray that you would make his knees to never shake and his hand to never dangle in despair but to face his life with pouncing joy and a recoiling faith. We know that you ar good and that your mercy endures forever even unto thousands of gernerations. We thank you for Cedric and pray that you wold bless him with many more years to come. Amen.
